Crane Tech Expands Staff with Addition of Training Veteran

Don Harlson

February 12, 2015 – Crane Tech LLC, Brandon, Fla., has expanded its team with additions to its crane safety and training staff. Don Harlson has joined the team as manager of training development. Katie Mackey was named marketing manager, and Lorena Corona has joined the company as office assistant. Harlson worked for Crane Tech between 2000 and 2007, when he served as crane inspector and trainer. He has 34 years of experience in the materials handling industry and his background includes working for a crane manufacturer, as a maritime surveyor, and as a lift planner for Bigge Crane and Rigging. Harlson’s primary role is managing Crane Tech’s proprietary and specialized training curriculum.

Mackey brings nearly 20 years of experience in marketing, graphic design, and customer service to the team. Her specialized experience is in branding, communications, and project management. Corona will be responsible for providing support on Crane Tech’s document control systems, training manual production, and product orders. She is bilingual, and will provide support to the training company’s Spanish-speaking clients.

“We also have immediate openings for instructors with extensive experience in the material-handling field,” said Bo Collier, president and second-generation owner of the company. “With the addition of these personnel we are looking forward to a great year of providing best-in-class services to our clients to help ensure the safety of their employees, equipment, and sites,” he added.
