CraneWorks Partners With Hammar Lift to Support Sideloaders in U.S.

CraneWorks has entered into a strategic partnership with Hammar Lift Inc. to support the installation, service and parts distribution of Hammar sideloader equipment in the United States.

Under the agreement, Houston-based CraneWorks will act as the U.S. installation, service and parts support partner for Hammar Sideloaders, expanding access to container-handling and heavy-lift equipment through CraneWorks’ nationwide service network. Hammar Lift Inc. is the U.S. division of Hammar, a global manufacturer of sideloader trailers and superstructures.

Hammar Sideloader equipment combines hydraulic sideloading cranes with a semi-trailer or truck chassis, allowing a single operator to load, unload and transport containers, flat racks and other heavy cargo. According to the company, the machines are designed for applications requiring container stacking, vehicle-to-vehicle transfers and operation in locations without additional lifting equipment.

Hammar brings more than 50 years of experience in sideloader design and has delivered equipment to more than 125 countries worldwide. The partnership is intended to strengthen Hammar’s footprint in the U.S. by providing localized service and parts support.

The collaboration will initially focus on U.S.-based installations, service support and localized parts availability to support Hammar sideloader equipment nationwide.

CraneWorks provides crane rental, sales, parts and service across North America and is headquartered in Houston, Texas. In October 2023, CraneWorks partnered with and received an investment from Equity Group Investments, the private investment firm founded by Sam Zell.

Hammar Lift Inc. operates from Dallas, Texas, as the U.S. division of Hammar, which manufactures Sideloader equipment designed to lift and transport containers and flat racks up to 110,000 pounds.
