January 24, 2008 • Nearly 30 sales managers, engineers, trainers, technical support staff, and top management personnel from The Crosby Group, Inc., Tulsa, Okla., recently attended a week-long oil and gas industry training program. The class is part of an Oil and Gas Training Grant awarded to High Plains Technology Center, Woodward, Okla. A first for the company, Crosby employees participated in order to increase their understanding of oil field applications.
“Crosby has always strived to have knowledgeable sales and technical support, with expertise in numerous industries,” said Danny Bishop, manager of training services for The Crosby Group. “But, what makes this trainin g unique is the specialization provided by High Plains Technology Center trainers, which included hands-on training, field trips to drilling and well-servicing rigs, and one week of concentrated training.” Crosby supplemented the training with an overview of all of its products used in oil and gas applications and a hands-on session at the Crosby McKissick manufacturing facility.

By gaining a better understanding of the terminology and special needs of this industry, Crosby hopes to provide more value to its customers working in this field.
