Custom Equipment Moves Headquarters

August 1, 2007 • Custom Equipment, manufacturer of the Hybrid Series scissor lifts, has reportedly moved its headquarters to Richfield, Wis., which is about eight miles from its former office in West Bend, Wis. According to Steve Kissinger, president of Custom Equipment, the much larger facility will incorporate its assembly plant and offices.

The key reason that Custom decided to move is because the company's sales volume has increased dramatically, Kissinger said. “We've quadrupled sales this year,” he added.

Two new product offerings from Custom Equipment have helped enhance its sales. At the Rental Show, the company introduced its second Hybrid model, the HB-1430, which features a maximum platform height of 14 feet, 25”x60” platform with a 30-inch slide-out deck extension, and 27-inch lowered platform height for easy entry. Additionally, Custom introduced the HB-1030E this year for the international marketplace, which features many of the same specifications as the HB-1030 with the key differences being a 300-pound heavier machine weight and modified electric and hydraulic systems to achieve CE approval.
