Dana Receives Masters of Quality Award from Daimler

September 30, 2015 – Dana Holding Corp. recently earned a Masters of Quality Award from Daimler Trucks North America (DTNA), the highest honor for suppliers to the commercial vehicle manufacturer. Dana’s manufacturing facility in Lima, Ohio was recognized for the company’s commitment to quality, delivery, technology, and cost performance.

DTNA manufactures, sells, and services several commercial-vehicle brands, including Freightliner, Western Star, and Thomas Built Buses. The company also produces medium-duty trucks and specialized commercial vehicles across the continent. “We understand the importance of manufacturing and supplying top-quality components in order to move the industry forward,” said Mark Wallace, executive vice president of Dana and group president of Dana’s On-Highway Driveline Technologies.

Now in its 28th year, the Masters of Quality Award is presented to an elite group of suppliers who meet rigorous standards and also show a commitment for continual improvement. DTNA’s suppliers are evaluated semi-annually on more than 100 criteria related to quality, service, aftermarket parts availability, engineering, warranty, and purchasing, and only those rated at the top are recognized with the award.

Dana supplies DTNA with a complete range of drive axles, steers axles, driveshafts, and Spicer Central Tire Inflation System components for the commercial vehicle industry, all backed by Dana’s best-in-class standard warranties and extended warranty coverage. Dana also offers top-tier Spicer aftermarket products and the expert support fleet managers need to maximize the performance of their vehicles.
