Dealer Alliance Expands With New West Coast Office

June 18, 2008 • With equipment brokering still going strong, Rockford, Ill.-based Dealer Alliance Corp. has recognized a need for a West Coast location. Joe Geraghty, owner of the family-owned company, recently told Lift and Access it is expanding by moving west to open a second location in Portland, Ore.

Although the 28-year-old Dealer Alliance Corp. buys, sells, and ships equipment worldwide from its Rockford facility, Geraghty said his customers on the West Coast wanted an office in the region. “To better serve our West Coast customers, I wanted an office where we can meet the needs of our customer more effectively,” he said.

Ryan Blackwell, who is the West Coast and mountain states manager, will head up the office. By moving to the Portland area, he will be able to address customers' needs more readily as he will be living in the market he serves.

The brokering service will remain the same in Portland as it is in Rockford. “The plans for the office will also include equipment storage space as another service to our customers,” Geraghty said. “Some customers may need to depot their equipment in the northwest, and we can offer them this option.” Once a location with a yard is in place, it will give Dealer Alliance the ability to store equipment for sellers at minimal to no cost.
