DICA is expanding its Urbandale, Iowa, headquarters to meet rising demand for its outrigger pads, crane mats and other engineered ground support products.
The project will increase the company’s usable space from 30,000 square feet to 50,000 square feet within its existing 60,000-square-foot building. The expansion includes new manufacturing equipment to boost capacity and support future product lines.
“We currently are using only half of the total 60,000 square feet under roof space, but we are now expanding into 50,000 square feet,” said Kris Koberg, CEO of DICA. “When we moved into our new headquarters three years ago, it was with the intention of growing into it over time. Due to demand and product expansion, the need for additional space was accelerated to help ensure we can continue meeting ground support and stabilization needs for years to come.”
In addition to facility upgrades, DICA recently added Harrison Hipple as account manager for crane and rigging. Hipple spent more than 15 years with The Manitowoc Company in crane sales and product management.
“Harrison’s deep knowledge of the crane industry is an invaluable asset to our team,” Koberg said. “His subject matter expertise ensures we continue to provide the best support possible to crane owners and operators who rely on our engineered outrigger pads and crane mats.”
