DICA Adds Two New Products to Outrigger Pad Lineup

February 10, 2016 - Last week at World of Concrete, DICA, Guthrie, Iowa, introduced the FiberMax dunnage pads to provide a rigid foundation for outrigger-enabled equipment, and the Recessed Radius SafetyTech outrigger pads designed for heavy loads and load distribution requirements of concrete pumping contractors.

Made from DICA’s premium engineered thermoplastic material, the SafetyTech Recessed Radius outrigger pads are designed for out-and-down outriggers with round floats, which are common in the concrete pumping industry. The 0.25-inch recessed area helps keep the outrigger float positioned in the center of the outrigger pad. In addition, SafetyTech Recessed Radius outrigger pads are constructed of a solid one-piece design, to eliminate potential weak points and provide the strong foundation needed for concrete pumping operations.

SafetyTech recessed radius outrigger pads are available in three sizes - 24”x24”x2”, 30”x30”x2”, and  36”x 36”x2”. All three heavy-duty models have a strength capacity of 150,000 lbs.

The FiberMax dunnage pads provide a rigid foundation for outrigger-enabled equipment, including concrete pumping equipment and mobile cranes.

“Concrete work frequently occurs in areas of disturbed, un-compacted softer ground. Our customers needed an engineered, lightweight, easy-to-handle solution that would allow them to achieve safe ground bearing pressures in these environments. FiberMax Dunnage Pads, constructed of our fiber reinforced polymer (FRP) material, are extremely rigid and durable,” said Kris Koberg, DICA CEO.

FiberMax dunnage Pads are available in two different thicknesses. A heavy-duty 0.75” option with a crush rating of 2,000 psi and rated capacity of 200,000 lbs., and two super-duty 1.5” options with a crush rating of 2,500 psi and a rated capacity of 250,000 lbs.

DICA-engineered FRP FiberMax Dunnage Pads are not affected by the elements or prolonged use. They won’t rot, delaminate, rust, decompose or absorb water. FiberMax heavy Duty and Super Duty Dunnage pads are guaranteed to be unbreakable.
