“Dirty Jobs” Host to Launch Manufacturing Jobs Campaign

September 25, 2010 – Mike Rowe, of Discovery’s “Dirty Jobs” fame is coming to Washington, D.C., to speak out to Congress, staffers, and the media about the importance of manufacturing in regards to the health of the U.S. economy and American jobs.

Rowe will be introducing local workers from across the U.S. who depend on manufacturing to tell their stories of how they help make America. The event will take place at the Reserve Officers Association on September 29.


The “I Make America” campaign is a national grassroots effort to strengthen American manufacturing jobs, to improve the economy, and improve the country’s global competitiveness.

 

The “I Make America” campaign is supported by the Association of Equipment Manufacturers  and its more than 800 member companies around the world. Rowe has been an outspoken advocate of the trades and infrastructure in America, and his website provides information about America’s infrastructure, national and state resources, as well as job listings.
