Doug King Appointed UpRight Sales Logistics Manager

Doug King

March 20, 2007 • Doug King has returned to UpRight, Fresno, Calif., as the U.S. sales logistics manager. He will be responsible for all aspects of customer service, from client interface and order processing to shipping, and he will install new monitoring systems to benchmark performance. King will report to Rob Hime, senior vice president of sales.

First joining UpRight on Feb. 1, 1988, King spent 18 years with the company, and according to UpRight, he knows the company's client base better than anyone. Prior to the Tanfield Group's acquisition of UpRight last year, King left the company to concentrate on his other passion in life: his award-winning champion pedigree show dogs.

Darren Kell, chief executive of UpRight powered access, said: “Doug has a wealth of experience in UpRight products and is a true champion of customer service. We are extremely pleased to have lured back such a high calibre and well-respected member of the team.”

According to King, his focus will be providing good customer service so UpRight's clients can believe in the company's ability to deliver. "I will be taking some good ideas from the old UpRight and implementing some exciting new projects, mixing the best of the past with the best of the future," King said.
