Eagle West Equipment Adds Staff, Launches Online Crane Search

February 22, 2008 • Eagle West Equipment Inc., Abbotsford, British Columbia, has announced the recent appointment of Larry Armstrong as regional manager for the U.S. Southwest. Armstrong will be based in Phoenix, Ariz., and in his new position will be focused on growing the Eagle West Equipment dealer network, providing a full range of support to Eagle West dealers in the region and working on the overall sales growth of the company.

Armstrong has more than 24 years of experience in the equipment rental and sales business. For the past 16 years he has been a leading manager holding several key positions with the Blanchard Machinery Company, the exclusive CAT distributor for South Carolina. He has a wide depth of experience ranging from dealership accounting and finance including auditing and asset management to operations, sales management and direct customer sales.

The company also recently appointed Wendy McClelland as marketing and communications coordinator. In this new position, McClelland will be coordinating all aspects of the Eagle West marketing programs, including crane sales and rentals, generator and crane accessories. 

 

McClelland has a diverse background, and has been a self-employed marketing consultant for the past dozen years. As a Certified Guerrilla Marketing Coach, she has assisted a wide range of businesses and industries to gain market share and increase profitability. With Eagle West Equipment's more than 100-percent growth rate per year, her support to dealers will be critical as she assists in preparation of marketing campaigns, trade show events and customer care, the company said.

 

In addition to the staff changes, Eagle West has created and launched an innovative online tool to help crane companies, contractors, construction companies and trades people find the right crane for any job.
