Elliott Adds New Greer Insight LMI to BoomTruck Line

February 7, 2012–Elliott Equipment Co., Omaha, Neb., is installing the new full-color Greer Insight Load Moment Indicator (LMI) system on select Elliott BoomTruck models, ranging from 10 tons to 50 tons capacity. Introduced at ConExpo 2011, the LMI features a waterproof and rugged design built for clear visibility and full functionality in temperatures as low as -40° F.

The Greer Insight LMI’s full color display offers improved sunlight visibility and easy setup. Crane operators can view an image of the crane on a screen that shows rated capacity, actual load weight on the line, radius of the load, boom angle, boom length, and working area. The LMI also retains all programmed settings after shutdown, eliminating recalibration during each startup.
