May 27, 2015 - Elliott Equipment Co. recently developed a track-mounted crane with a 34-ton capacity, 142-ft. five-section main boom, and a 32- to 49-ft. telescopic jib. The 34142 track-mounted crane was purpose-built to serve the utility transmission construction industry in off-road applications. Not only does the crane provide material-handling capabilities, but it also can lift personnel to assemble transmission lines.
Elliott's 34142 tracked crane
was developed with Scott Powerline
and PowerTraxx.
Developed in partnership with Scott Powerline & Utility Equipment and PowerTraxx vehicles, the 34142 is designed to provide over 207 ft. of vertical reach with a via a detachable 36"x72" two-person work platform with a hydraulic yoke lifting system. The crane has a weight low enough to be mounted on the PowerTraxx 15SXW-H mid-size track carrier, which reduces rental and transportation costs.
According to Jeff Johnson, executive vice president at Scott Powerline, “The Elliott 34142 model development stems from our customers’ increasing need for greater reach capabilities while maintaining the smaller size and ease of movement that comes with the PowerTraxx 15SXW-H track vehicle carrier."
Other features and options on the Elliott 34142 include a wireless remote control with an integrated LMI display, high-speed out-and-down outriggers with two-stage vertical stroke for reduced cribbing, optional enclosed crane cab with A/C and heat, and off-road options Including a recovery winch, brush guard, and protective component covers.
The Elliott 34142 model is available for immediate rental and retail to customers throughout North America.
