November 22, 2016 - Elliott Equipment Co. has released the 36-ton 36142 boom truck, which features a five-section, 142-ft. main boom and 32- to 49-ft., two-section jib. When combined, the 36142 has a maximum tip height of 201 feet. The winch uses 9/16-in. rotation-resistant wire rope and delivers up to 9,060-lb. single-line pull.
The new model is designed to serve a range of customers, including those in the utility and transmission construction industry, who need a long-reaching telescopic crane mounted on a federal bridge legal, tridem-axle chassis. The crane allows users to handle materials and lift personnel to work at height using a detachable 600-lb.-capacity yoke-style, pin-on work platform with hydraulic leveling.
To operate the boom truck, Elliott offers the patented standup, ride-around lower control console as standard. Open seated controls or an enclosed cab with heater and optional air conditioning are also available.
