Dec. 29, 2023 – Empire Crane Company recently took ownership of two new Jekko articulating-boom crawler cranes at its Hanson, Massachusetts, location.

One of those cranes, a Jekko JF990, is the first of its kind in the U.S.

The JF990 is the biggest transportable crawler crane in Jekko’s lineup.

It features a maximum lifting capacity of 46,297 lbs., a 112’ reach, and can be equipped with an optional personnel basket.

Empire’s second newly arrived Jekko crane is a JF545.

A returning model for Empire Crane, it has a 34,170-lb. maximum lifting capacity, a 106’ maximum lifting height, and comes with a GMT grapple saw already attached.

“The Jekko brand is a new and burgeoning offering for our company. We’re excited to see where it leads,” said Paul Lonergan, president and part owner of Empire Crane. “We’re thrilled to be the first dealer in the country to offer as versatile a machine as the JF990. Even though it’s the largest crane in Jekko’s fleet, its size is still manageable in tight spaces while being able to take on some serious tonnage.”

Empire Crane became an authorized Jekko dealer in December 2022, and the brand has quickly become a major player for the Empire both in purchases and rentals.

Empire’s sales team has already facilitated more than 20 purchases and rentals to customers around the country.

Empire Crane is an authorized dealer for Tadano, Kobelco, Manitex, Magni, Jekko USA, Multiloader USA, and Broderson.

The company offers sales, rentals, parts, and full-service repair shops in Syracuse, New York; Hanson, Massachusetts; and Bridgewater, New Jersey.

It also has a fleet of on-the-road techs who provide service at customers’ sites.
