Empire Crane Buys Shuttlelift CD5520 Industrial Crane

April 2, 2014 - Syracuse, N.Y.-based Empire Crane has purchased a new Shuttlelift CD5520 industrial crane, which debuted at ConExpo.

Luke Lonergan, vice president of Empire, said the company is excited to be one of the first to obtain the Shuttlelift CD5520, especially because of its reach and capacity. He said with its 20-ton capacity and 54'6" boom, Empire expects to sell the crane quickly.

The Shuttlelift CD5520 replaces the CD5560B industrial crane and offers two jib options: a 15-ft boom extension or a telescoping 15- to 25-ft. swingaway boom extension.

With an overall length of 23'3" and width of 7'8", the CD5520 will fit in tight work spaces. It measures only 8'2", making it ideal for indoor industrial work. It also has a completely redesigned cab with new automotive style controls and joystick controllers.
