July 11, 2018 - Empire Crane Company has delivered a 2018 Manitex 2892C boom truck to Accurate Crane Service, Wallingford, Conn.
The unit features a 28-ton-capacity Manitex crane with 92’ boom, a Peterbilt 348 truck, out-and-down outriggers, single-stage jib, and a Greer LMI.
Steve Bishop, owner of Accurate, says, “I chose the Manitex 2892C because it is a little bit smaller and will fit my niche and customer needs better than our other cranes. It is going to be a lot more versatile.” Bishop says he enjoyed working with Manitex and Empire to customize the boom truck.
Accurate first purchased from Empire 12 years ago and is now trading in that purchase.
Bishop says that he also appreciates working with Empire’s parts department because it has all his cranes on file, can tell him the specific part numbers he needs, and can have them delivered to Accurate’s door within two days. “That’s really a priority for me,” Bishop says.
