Engineered Rigging Brings First CLP Gantry to U.S.

Engineered Rigging has introduced the first Officine CLP hydraulic gantry crane in the U.S., adding the LG Series to its heavy-lift fleet.

August 18, 2026 - Engineered Rigging has introduced the first Officine CLP hydraulic gantry crane in the United States, adding the Italian manufacturer’s LG Series to its equipment lineup.

The CLP LG132 arrived in the U.S. from Officine CLP’s facility in Borgo San Dalmazzo, Italy. Engineered Rigging said the LG Series has a 25-year track record in Europe and includes nine models designed for heavy lifting applications where space and equipment weight can be limiting factors.

The gantry series has load capacities ranging from 66 to 441 tons. The equipment is designed to maintain its full rated capacity at maximum lifting height, according to Engineered Rigging.

“Every model in the CLP LG Series was engineered to maintain its full load capacity at maximum height, a capability that sets these gantries apart. That performance, paired with their state-of-the-art control package and modular design, makes them ideal for the rigorous demands of industrial facilities,” said Mike Beres, vice president of Engineered Rigging.

The LG Series is designed for use in locations with limited clearances, including data centers, manufacturing plants, and warehouses. Its two-stage cylinder design is intended to maintain full rated capacity through both stages rather than reducing capacity as the second stage extends.

The compact design also allows the gantry system to be transported on a single trailer. Engineered Rigging said the LG Series can handle loads from 66 to 441 tons while maintaining relatively low weight per leg.

The LG132-0750, for example, has a maximum four-leg capacity of 143 tons (130 metric tons), a maximum lifting height of 24.6 feet (7.5 meters), and a weight of 6,063 pounds (2,750 kilograms) per leg.

“The LG Series is a game changer when used inside warehouse and manufacturing environments which may be outfitted with overhead cranes that don’t have the capacity to handle increasing larger modular loads,” said Beres.

The series can be configured with either two or four legs. The two-leg configuration has half the rated four-leg capacity.

The LG Series uses internally ported cylinders to eliminate exposed hydraulic hoses. Each leg also has a self-contained power pack, allowing for hose-free operation.

Safety features include electronic overload protection, a remote emergency stop, and a side-shift movement limit. Automated leveling synchronizes tower movement during lifting, lowering, and horizontal travel.

The gantries use Bosch Rexroth hydraulic components and Siemens electrical systems. Each unit is equipped with two LCD radio remotes that provide operators with lift height, load weight, and system health information.

The latest LG Series models also include intelligent accessory recognition and remote diagnostics through cellular or LAN connections.

"When you’re lifting heavy loads in a tight space, the last thing you want to second guess your equipment. CLP’s LG Series gives operators the information they need. It’s literally at their fingertips, so they can focus on the lift and not the unknowns," said Jay Holt, P.E. & P.M.P., director of engineering and assets at Engineered Rigging.

The LG Series is designed to comply with CE and ASME design standards.

Engineered Rigging plans to demonstrate a CLP gantry during its annual Heavy Lifting Showcase Oct. 6 and 7 in Russellville, Arkansas. The event is scheduled to include demonstrations of rigging and specialized transport technologies and is open to engineers, contractors, plant managers, and rigging specialists.

With the addition of CLP equipment to its existing Enerpac gantry fleet, Engineered Rigging said it now offers telescopic boom and bare-cylinder gantries with load capacities ranging from 40 to 1,178 tons.
