Engineered Rigging, a heavy lifting and specialized transport solutions provider, launched Engineered Giving, a nonprofit organization focused on supporting charitable efforts in the communities where the company operates.
According to Engineered Rigging President Christopher Cox, P.E., the new initiative reflects the company’s ongoing commitment to giving back. “With Engineered Giving, we’re taking a more structured approach to our community outreach as a way to make a meaningful and lasting difference in the lives of others,” Cox said.
Engineered Giving will offer both financial contributions and volunteer support to causes related to education, food insecurity and other local needs. Initial outreach will focus on communities in Arkansas and Indiana, where Engineered Rigging has office locations.
To commemorate the launch, Engineered Giving organized a fundraising campaign for the Arkansas River Valley Food 4 Kids (RVF4K) summer program during Engineered Rigging’s Heavy Lifting Equipment Showcase held in Russellville, Arkansas. The campaign raised a total of $14,155, which included a $7,500 grant from Engineered Giving to sponsor summer meals for 100 local children facing food insecurity.
The check presentation to RVF4K’s executive director and board members took place on June 12. “Thanks to Engineered Giving's wonderful support, 188 kids in the Arkansas River Valley will have full bellies and happy hearts this summer,” said RVF4K Executive Director Leslie Walton. “This generous gift proves that the community profits when you support nonprofits, creating waves of hope that ensure no child must worry about where their next meal is coming from.”
