Engineered Rope Company Celebrates 30 years of Innovation

June 24, 2011—Cortland Co., Cortland, N.Y., will celebrate its 30th anniversary with an open house for past employees and business associates as well as a dinner celebration. Cortland provides engineered rope and sling solutions and electro / optical / mechanical cables and umbilicals.

 

The company is an innovator of new technologies. Recent achievements include a joint project with NOAA developing an Easy-to-Deploy (ETD) tsunami warning buoy system and the development of specialized orthopedic sutures used for MCL surgeries and more. This year, Cortland expects to increase its presence in Europe, Asia Pacific, and Brazil.
