Equipment Trader recently launched its redesigned site.

March 6, 2008 • Norfolk, Va.-based Equipment Trader, a division of Dominion Enterprises, announced that its website, www.EquipmentTraderOnline.com, has been redesigned and re-engineered to make finding, selling and researching construction and agricultural equipment easier.

Three main buttons, “Find My Equipment,” “Sell My Equipment” and “Research Equipment,” take visitors directly to the information they seek. The “Find” button provides instant access to more than 50,000 pieces of new and used equipment for sale • one of the Internet's largest databases of heavy equipment, according to the company. The “Research” button offers additional information on everything from equipment and tractor parts to above ground fuel tanks to equipment and trailer transport.

“The graphically rich interface is just the beginning of the redesign,” said Nick Petsos, brand manager of Equipment Trader. “Not only will visitors stay on our site longer, but our improved search function means that dealers' products and services will be more prominently displayed. Simply put, dealers get more bang for their buck.”

According to Omniture SiteCatalyst HBX, in a year-over-year comparison the site has shown a 75-percent increase in unique visitors during the first nine weeks of 2008.

For equipment dealers, new site features include trackable lead generation tools Click to Call and Instant Mobile Lead Alert. The Click to Call feature allows users to call dealers with the click of the mouse for immediate contact. Utilizing eStara technology, dealers receive real-time information about the buyers, including data detailing the point during the transaction that the buyer decided to make the call. The Instant Mobile Lead Alert function utilizes SMS technology to send a text message directly to the dealer's mobile phone when a buyer indicates that he or she is interested in receiving more information on a product.

Equipment dealers also will enjoy a completely redesigned Inventory Management Tool (IMT), dealer newsletter and industry blog. The IMT simplifies the online inventory management process, tracks leads and allows for convenient one-click updates to product or dealership information. Equipment Trader's Bits and Pieces newsletter is delivered directly to advertisers' inboxes every month, offering tips on how to drive more business to the dealership and how to more effectively leverage the EquipmentTraderOnline.com selling tools. Equipment Trader Insider, the official blog of EquipmentTraderOnline.com, relates insightful industry product news and provides a forum for industrial B2B networking.

Equipment dealers can learn more about Equipment Trader at ConExpo next week at its booth, S-9655.
