Essex Crane Rental to Buy Manitowoc Crawler Cranes

April 30, 2007 • Essex Crane Rental Corp., Buffalo Grove, Ill., has announced plans to purchase several of Manitowoc Crane Group's newest model crawler crane, the 14000s. Essex will add the 220-ton cranes to its fleet this year and next.

 

According to Manitowoc, Wis.-based Manitowoc Crane Group, Essex owns the largest fleet of Manitowoc cranes worldwide, many of them Vicon cranes, such as model 4100. The 14000 is an update to the mid 200-ton class crane for Manitowoc.

The company exhibited the 14000 for the first time last week at Bauma 2007 in Munich, Germany.
