Fairfield Receives $9 Million Order from Offshore Service Firm

July 28, 2006 • Fairfield Manufacturing Co., Lafayette, Ind., has received a contract for over $9 million to provide jacking drive gearbox assemblies to Netherlands-based GustoMSC, a design, engineering, and consultancy service for the offshore oil and gas and civil construction industries. Under the terms of the contract, Fairfield will develop, test, and provide large ABS-certified jacking drive planetary gear boxes capable of lifting over 300 tons each and rated for output torque of over 1 million Nm.
