The Faymonville Group has reached an agreement to acquire majority shares of Morello, an Italian manufacturer of battery-driven electric heavy load transport vehicles. The acquisition was announced February 10, 2026.

Morello, headquartered in Turin, Northern Italy, manufactures electric transport vehicles designed to move heavy industrial loads within industrial plants worldwide. The vehicles are used to transport heavy equipment and semi-finished goods, with payload capacities starting at five tons.

“We are proud and grateful that our technology will become part of the strong offer of the family-owned Faymonville Group. With 80 years of market experience, the Morello name will be maintained and is looking forward to a promising future,” declares Amedeo Morello, representing the family, about this important step for the company.

With the acquisition, Faymonville expands its range of self-propelled transport solutions for intralogistics and industrial plant applications. Morello’s vehicles add lighter load classes to the group’s portfolio and can be optionally equipped with automated guided vehicle (AGV) systems.

Morello’s product line complements the existing Eco500 and Eco1000 series from Cometto, another Faymonville brand. Together, the combined offerings cover a broad range of heavy-duty factory intralogistics and specialized transport needs across industries, including railway, steel production, energy, nuclear facilities and defence.

The battery-driven electric engines used in Morello vehicles align with growing demand for emission-free and low-noise equipment in industrial environments.

Faymonville said it plans to integrate its production expertise into Morello’s operations as part of the transition. The Luxembourg-based manufacturer stated that the acquisition strengthens its position as a full-range supplier of special and heavy haulage vehicles.

“This strategic acquisition significantly enhances our market position and reinforces our role as a comprehensive provider for specialized transport solutions,” states Alexander Fickers, CEO of the Faymonville Group. “The discussion with the Morello team was characterized by trust and shared visions. We are excited to welcome Morello as the newest member in our Faymily”.

Additional details about the transaction were not disclosed.
