Four- and Six-Skate Systems Available from LGH

December 2, 2015 - Lifting Gear Hire has added two rental products at its warehouses: the AIRFLOAT four-skate and six-skate systems. 

 

Air skates move heavy loads on a cushion of air, offering 360 degrees of rotation when compared with traditional machine skates. They move objects through a specially designed air caster that slowly and evenly releases a thin film of air that floats the object, which typically range between 50-90 psi.

 

The additional skates will provide users the ability to lift and carry bigger and heavier equipment more easily. The capacities offered for the four-skate systems are 25,000 and 33,000 lbs. and the capacities available for the six-skate system are 37,500 and 49,500 lbs.

 

Each load skid system includes four or six steel single bearing air skids plus an appropriate control package including on/off valve, pressure regulator, and flow control values. Each skid contains a hose with quick discount, but does not include a main supply hose. Both new skid systems are available for immediate rental.
