Framing for Extreme Makeover Home Edition

March 13, 2007 • Advantage Framing Systems, Olathe, Kan., will participate in this week's edition of Extreme Makeover: Home Edition on ABC. Advantage Framing Systems will be responsible for designing and manufacturing the wall panels and trusses, as well as providing the labor to erect the components. This is the second Extreme Makeover Advantage Framing has been a part of in Kansas City. Go here for the previous story.

The design team at Advantage Framing Systems has drawn the wall panels and roof trusses of the new home, and these drawings are now in the shop being assembled. The logistics team will deliver the panels, trusses, and miscellaneous materials to the staging area today.

Advantage Framing has assembled a team of carpenters to start the framing process at 8 a.m. on tomorrow. Assisting the framers will be the logistics group, who will feed needed material onto the jobsite. A crane and several forklifts will be used to move materials from tractor-trailers to the site. With strategic planning, the house will be erected in 12 hours.
