Franna, the Australian manufacturer known for its pick and carry cranes, is expanding its footprint in North America with new parts and service support and a key leadership appointment. The company announced that the new Terex Louisville Parts facility will now provide comprehensive coverage for Franna products in the region. In addition, Kevin Aabel has been named as the business development manager for Franna in North America.
Franna has steadily grown its presence in the U.S. market, launching the AT24 US in 2023, followed by the FR19 US earlier this year and more recently the AT44 US. Each model combines core Franna design with features tailored specifically for North American jobsite demands, offering strong lifting capabilities and efficient performance.
Supporting this product growth is the new 134,000-square-foot Terex Louisville Parts warehouse, equipped with an automated parts picking system and operating on two shifts to improve parts availability and response times. The facility also houses a skilled service team trained to support Franna equipment nationwide.
As part of its continued investment in North America, Franna appointed Kevin Aabel to the role of Business Development Manager. Aabel brings extensive industry experience, most recently serving at Manitowoc, where he managed multiple Midwest dealers and led direct sales efforts in Canada. His crane knowledge spans truck-mounted, rough terrain, crawler and all-terrain units, built through roles at Manitowoc, Oshkosh and Altec, Inc.
“Franna is firmly committed to its growth strategy in North America and has a proven product backed by decades of engineering expertise, patented technology, a strong track record in the Australian market,” said Kevin Aabel. “It is an exciting time to join the team. I hope to leverage my industry network and specialist expertise, supported by the capabilities of the Terex Louisville facility, to make an immediate and meaningful impact in driving the success of Franna in this key market.”
