Gehl Announces Further Expansion of South Dakota Telehandler Facility
May 4, 2006 — On April 28, the board of directors at Gehl Co.,
The project includes a $2.2 million, 30,000-square-foot expansion of the facility as well as $4.3 million in further technological production enhancements to include increased laser cutting, robotics, and a new paint system. When completed in January of 2007, telehandler production capacity will be approximately 50% greater than today.

Gehl, chairman and CEO. “The expansion clearly positions the company to take advantage of ongoing growth in the telehandler markets for the foreseeable future.”
Gehl currently builds 16 models of telehandlers at its Yankton facility in various product configurations, ranging in capacity from 6,000 to 12,000 pounds and lift heights from 34 to 55 feet.
