May 15, 2008 • Gehl Company, West Bend, Wis., recently broke ground for its new corporate headquarters and state-of-the-art research and development center. West Bend Mayor Kristine Deiss joined other community leaders and Gehl officials on April 30 for a ground breaking ceremony at the site of the $20 million corporate expansion project in West Bend.

“We are here to celebrate a new era at Gehl Company,” said William Gehl, chairman and CEO. “This will be a great facility to continue the growth and the rich 150-year heritage of Gehl Company.”

The 70,000-square-foot R&D building will be equipped with the latest in design and development technology. The facility will be used to design, to test equipment 24 hours per day for performance and durability, and to validate new equipment designs. The new two-story corporate office will incorporate an open-office concept, with large windows to infuse natural light throughout. Energy-efficient lighting will be utilized to enhance the natural lighting. The R&D Center is set to be completed in early October 2008, and the corporate offices are set for completion in July of 2009.
