Genie Appoints Webber as Senior Compliance and Applications Engineer

September 4, 2008 • Redmond, Wash.-based Genie Industries announced today that Luke Webber has been appointed to the new position of senior compliance and applications engineer. In his new role, Webber will provide direct customer product compliance and application support for the Genie product line.
Webber will be the central point of contact for Genie customers with product design and standards- related questions and needs. He will work closely with the Genie aftermarket support team, engineering, product management and product safety groups to address a variety of matters including product compliance with governing standards, proposed product modifications for special applications and product application questions that require special permissions or considerations prior to placing the machine on the worksite. He will also identify opportunities for new product development.
Webber joined Genie Industries in 1999 as a mechanical engineer. During his career at Genie, Webber has also been appointed to the corporate materials department and the engineering standards and compliance group. In 2005, Webber joined the product management team responsible for the Genie portable product line and from 2006 to the present, Webber managed the North American telehandler line.
