Genie Named Preferred Vendor by Cat® Rental Stores

March 9, 2007 • Genie Industries, Redmond, Wash., has been named a 2007 Preferred Allied Vendor by Cat^® Rental Stores. Preferred Allied Vendors are chosen each year through an extensive selection process based on criteria such as product pricing value, product support capabilities, distribution capabilities, and dealer satisfaction survey performance.

Genie supplies The Cat Rental Stores' worldwide network with a variety of Genie^® aerial equipment and Terex^® power buggies. For more than eight years, Genie has had a dedicated sales team working closely with Cat rental dealers to help them grow their allied business.

 

“This partnership benefits both companies,” said Dave Hubbell, vice president of Genie Industries' North American Caterpillar accounts. “We purchase and use Caterpillar components, such as Perkins engines, in our equipment, and we market Genie and Terex products to Cat rental stores. According to Grasse, Genie has been a Cat rental store vendor since 1997. “Each year, Genie does so much to help Cat rental dealers grow their businesses,” he said. “The aerial lift equipment market is very important to our rental business, because it helps dealers expand their customer base and boost their profitability.”
