June 29, 2016 - Heavy-haul comapnies find it a challenge to transport long, bulky loads without the right equipment. Global Specialized Services, which moves these heavy loads every day, relies on three Faymonville TeleMAX platform trailers to complete the tasks.
Matthew Orr, trucking manager, says the trailers have helped complete a number of projects. For example, GSS moved for example a top section for an 80-meter GE tower measuring 97 ft. long and 11'2" in diameter and weighing 76,000 lbs. with a TeleMAX trailer.
Additionally, the comapny used one of its TeleMAX platform trailers with hydraulically steerable axles to transport a 70,000-lb. vessel measuring 75 ft. long and 6 ft. in diameter to a refinery in Newcastle, Wyo. The trailer is extendable up to three times.
Adapted to North American DOT standards, the Faymonville TeleMAX trailer has a non-load bearing pull-out that permits a longer overhang of the loads. Additionally, its lightweight construction, its 55° steering angle, and low loading deck height guarantee optimum manoeuvrability with the highest possible payload. The remote control steering is another user-friendly tool. The fully metalized frame (zinc galvanising) ensures the best corrosion protection available in the market.
