November 25, 2014 - Grip Studs has added the 1910 and 1911 to its line of traction studs for tires and tracks. Designed for heavy equipment, the 1910 and 1911 won’t sink and disappear into rubber tires and tracks under heavy weight.

The 1910 and 1911 differ in size. The 1910 penetrating the tire to 14.5mm, which the 1911 goes in 17.5mm. Medium prominence of 4.5mm and 5.3mm ensures neither model will fold over under the stress of heavy loads.

Grip Studs feature patented wide-auger threads that are angled, which allows more surface area to contact the rubber. They stay put without working their way into or out of the tire. Grip Studs have a solid tungsten carbide core surrounded by tempered steel, making them tough enough to bite into the iciest terrain.

The self-tapping feature makes them easy to install with a bit and a cordless drill, requiring no pre-drilling or gluing. The unique notched collar allows simple removal and re-installation, providng a viable traction option to chains.
