Gunnebo Industries Appoints New CFO

March 12, 2009—Lars Axelson has been named the new CFO at Gunnebo Industries, He will take over the position on April 20, succeeding Tor Hansen, the current CFO. Axelson has served most recently as vice president, finance and CFO of Scandic Hotels. He was previously employed as the CFO at ELFA, a distributor of electronics, and Dahl Sverige AB. He has also held a number of top financial positions at Ovako, Volvo, and other companies.

Axelson received an MBA degree from Karlstad University with a major in accounting and financing.

 

Gunnebo Industrier AB is an international group of industrial companies that is active in 15 countries and has around 50 major distributors/agents worldwide. The group is engaged in the development, manufacture and marketing of chain and lifting components, fastening systems for the building industry, blocks/systems for heavy lifting, traction products and telescopic ladders. Gunnebo Industrier's head office is in Gunnebo in the Småland province of southern Sweden.
