Haulotte Attributes 2007 Sales Growth to Strong Equipment Sales

January 23, 2008 • The Haulotte Group, L'Horme, France, ended 2007 with sales of $950.7 million (€652.7 million), an increase of 26 percent from 2006. According to Haulotte, sales in the fourth quarter 2007 accelerated to $302.6 million (€207.8 million) from $196.2 million (€134.7 million) in the third quarter and $252 million (€173.1 million) in the fourth quarter of 2006.

Growth was driven by strong equipment sales that accounted for 86 percent of consolidated revenue, compared to 84 percent in 2006. Europe accounted for 89 percent of total sales for the year.

To support its momentum, the Haulotte Group launched new manufacturing plants, which contributed more than $50.96 million (€35 million) to 2007 sales. Haulotte also continued to strengthen its commercial network with new offices in Mexico, Dubai, and Argentina.

The company foresees worldwide market stability in 2008, with 2007 order intakes providing good visibility for the first half. The Haulotte Group expects 2008 sales to exceed $1.01 billion (€700 million). Despite continued increases in raw material prices and persistent tension in financial markets, such as interest rates and currency, Haulotte said the net margin for 2008 should be close to 11 percent.
