May 9, 2008 • HBC-radiomatic, Crailsheim, Germany, has announced it will be expanding and moving its North American headquarters to Hebron, Ky. HBC-radiomatic manufactures radio controls used in a variety of industrial applications such as factory and tower cranes and concrete pumps.

The new 12,000-square-foot facility will house the company's North American production and distribution center.  “Northern Kentucky offers a talented and available technology workforce and infrastructure in a central location,” said Jason Looman, CEO, HBC-radiomatic. “In addition, we were able to secure support through the Kentucky Enterprise Initiative Act for construction of the new building.”

HBC-radiomatic will initially employ 15 associates and plans to expand to 30 associates in the next three to five years. Unit Building Services has been chosen to construct the new facility in Hebron, 13 miles southwest of Cincinnati. “HBC-radiomatic joins 160 international companies, of which 37 are German, in northern Kentucky,” said Gary Moore, member of Northern Kentucky Tri-ED's Executive Committee and Boone County judge-executive. “HBC-radiomatic will bring important, new high-tech job opportunities to the region.”

Headquartered in Germany since 1947, HBC-radiomatic has an international presence in radio equipment and industrial radio remote controls. HBC-radiomatic, Inc. was formed in 1998 in Blue Ash, Ohio to sell, service and do light manufacturing of the company's industrial radio controls for North America. These radio controls are used on factory cranes, tower cranes, concrete pumps and in a variety of other industrial applications internationally.
