H&E Establishes Business Model for Eagle High Reach
April 14, 2006 — H&E Equipment Services, Baton Rouge, La., announced that most key managers and employees at Eagle High Reach will continue in the same positions they held prior to the acquisition. Perry Dau, formerly the branch manager of H&E's Las Vegas location, has been appointed vice president of West Coast division and will assume responsibility for all California locations, including La Mirada, Santa Fe Springs, San Diego, and Bakersfield.
Although H&E has sold and rented equipment in California for several years, and H&E and Eagle have been equipment supply partners on a number of construction projects, the acquisition of Eagle High Reach marks H&E's first physical establishment in California. Anticipating this acquisition, H&E Equipment Services ordered more than $25 million in new rental inventory for the California locations. Customers will have access to more than 18,000 new or late model rental units corporate-wide.
Despite Eagle High Reach's long history in aerial lift rentals, H&E management announced it intends to expand the products and services offered in California. Over time, H&E will offer extensive new and used equipment inventories, fully-stocked parts operations, state-of-the-art service facilities, mobile service and training. The California operations will duplicate the business model of all the other H&E Equipment Services operations throughout the GulfCoast, Intermountain, Southwest, and Northwest regions.
