H&E Opens Facility in Chattanooga, Tenn.

February 3, 2011 – H&E Equipment Services Inc., Baton Rouge, La., has expanded coverage in Tennessee by opening a new facility in Chattanooga. The new location provides full service to customers in central and northern Georgia, along with the Chattanooga and Knoxville areas.

“Chattanooga has been in need of a full-service operation for some time,” said Michael Allen, branch manager. “Our typical competitor limits their scope to just rentals. As a full-service operation, we are equipped and committed to be a one-stop shop for our customers, providing services such as equipment rentals, new and used equipment sales, in-shop and mobile service and repair, a comprehensive parts inventory, training and many other services.”

For years, the company had plans to expand into southeastern Tennessee, said Allen, adding that H&E sees the current economy as an opportunity to grow its business. “We have already begun to move a large inventory and a wide variety of equipment into Chattanooga,” he said.

The Chattanooga facility is 19,000 square feet, with 90 percent dedicated to service operations, and will provide a full line of aerial work platforms, earthmoving and light construction equipment for rental and sales.

Allen is optimistic about the Tennessee economy. “We are starting to see signs of a recovery. Activity levels for our equipment and services are beginning to pick up. I believe that the worst is over and people are ready to resume a sense of normalcy that will allow us to grow and prosper for years to come,” he said.
