Hiab Launches Three New Effer Heavy Loader Cranes

June 22, 2022 - Hiab launches three new Effer heavy loader cranes that use less fuel and feature the new SPACEevo advanced operating system to improve productivity and make operation safer.

The three new models, Effer iQ.1200 HP, 110 tonne-metre (tm) (795,630 lbf.); Effer iX.550 HP, 51 tm (368,883 lbf.); and Effer iX.355 HP, 32.1 tm (232,179 lbf.), are available to order from Effer dealers globally.

“We are proud to introduce three new Effer loader cranes that widen the choice of lifting capacities available to our customers,” said Marcel Boxem, Hiab’s director of global product management for heavy and super heavy loader cranes. “The new operating system SPACEevo ensures that the cranes have best-in-class performance and safety features.”

Boxem added, “The new cranes also help our customers lower emissions by reducing weight and energy consumption. Overall lower vehicle weight leads to more net payload for the customer.”

The Effer iQ.1200 HP is a 110-tm range crane with a compact design similar to 90-tm models. This allows for a good payload on a long and strong crane and optimizes the balance between outreach, versatility, and transport capability.

Hiab’s new SPACEevo control system enables the cranes to be operated precisely even at high speed. It also offers advanced safety and productivity features like VSL+ that can maximize lifting capacity by calculating stability according to the position of the stabilizer legs and the total weight of the truck.

SPACEevo is an open and modular platform that allows customers to add or enhance their cranes with more functions as they become available. That helps keep their equipment up to date and evolving to meet changing business needs.

The standard XS Drive remote control can be replaced with the new, optional, CombiDrive 4 remote control, which offers new safety features, such as Confirm View to find the best field of view, three bright, high-definition color displays, operator personalization, and a long-life battery.

The new models are also offered in non-CE versions, equipped with the control system Space X4 and the optional CombiDrive 3 remote control.

Highlights

Effer iQ.1200 HP:

  • 110 tm

  • SPACEevo control system

  • New, advanced V12-Power dodecagonal shaped boom and JIB profile for lightweight and compact frame size fitting within a section of two metres. This contributes to giving the 110tm range crane a compact design similar to 90tm models, leaving a high level of useful payload and allowing it to fit in 4 axle truck installations.

  • An all-purpose crane that delivers the performance of its category with the weight and frame size of the range below, increasing the available payload and making it possible to install on a smaller truck size.

  • Variable pump, for increased flow performances and reduced fuel consumption.

  • Nano-based technology coating assures long-lasting protection of the crane and its parts from corrosion, rust or external environmental factors that would affect its appearance and residual value over time.

  • CE marked.

Effer iX.550 HP:

  • 51 tm

  • SPACEevo control system

  • E-6, E-7 and E-8 versions with optional JIB 150X-6

  • Variable pump, for increased flow performances and reduced fuel consumption.

  • Nano-based technology coating assures long-lasting protection of the crane and its parts from corrosion, rust or external environmental factors that would affect its appearance and residual value over time.

  • CE marked.

Effer iX.355 HP:

  • 32.1 tm

  • SPACEevo control system

  • E-5 and E-6 versions with optional JIB 70X4.

  • Variable pump, for increased flow performances and reduced fuel consumption.

  • Nano-based technology coating assures long-lasting protection of the crane and its parts from corrosion, rust or external environmental factors that would affect its appearance and residual value over time.

  • CE marked.
