HIIG Makes Agreement to Purchase Compass Group Partners

May 23, 2014 - Houston International Insurance Group (HIIG), Houston, Texas, has acquired Compass Group Partners, LLC, a managing general underwriter based in Fort Myers, Florida. Compass specializes in Title Agents and Insurance Agents E&O Liability.

 

Gary Dittman founded Compass in 2010 and will continue to manage the operation after the transaction closes. The business will be operated as the Compass division of HIIG Professional and will complement its existing business of Miscellaneous E&O, Lawyers, Community Banks, and Allied Health.

 

Dittman said, “We are excited to be part of the HIIG organization, where their experience and financial strength will support us in continuing to provide superior product and service to our clients.”

 

HIIG Professional is headquartered in Morristown, New Jersey, with underwriting offices in Atlanta and Houston. Mark Rattner is Senior VP of HIIG and manages HIIG Professional with Vincent McGee, VP Underwriting, and Howard Fishbein, VP Claims.
