April 17, 2008 • Imperial Crane Services, a Tadano dealer in Bridgeview, Ill., announces it has received 10 of the 45 rough-terrain cranes that were recently ordered from Tadano America. The $20 million package, which Imperial's President B.J. Bohne developed with Ron Dogotch, general manager of Tadano America Corp., included five 15-ton RTs and 10 RT cranes each in 30-, 50-, 60-, and 80-ton capacities.

According to Imperial Crane, this was the total availability that Tadano had at the time the package was completed. Deliveries of these machines will be spread throughout 2008.

At the end of 2006, Imperial Crane received contracts for two refinery expansions that will take place from 2008 to 2012. The $20 million Tadano order was only half of the $40 million in new cranes the company is expecting. Additional cranes the company will receive include 35 Link-Belt and 10 Liebherr cranes. Imperial Crane reports it anticipates making additional crane purchases, which will be necessary before the refinery projects are complete.
