IMT Launches New Lightweight Crane and Service Truck Package
March 10, 2020 -- Iowa Mold Tooling Co. Inc., an Oshkosh Corporation company, has introduced the IMT 6000 series hydraulic telescopic crane and Dominator I mechanics truck package.
These new unit’s innovative enhancements increase the payload of IMT’s Dominator I mechanics truck package by approximately 1,000 lbs. and give customers more options for meeting field service needs, according to Justin Anderson, IMT marketing representative.
To help reduce overall weight the new 6000 series crane weighs about 30% less than its predecessor. That weight reduction translates into more available payload for the truck. Developed using customer feedback, the redesigned crane lifts up to 6,000 lbs. and features corrosion-resistant components. The redesigned boom tip offers outstanding precision and maneuverability.
“Reducing the weight and incorporating features that extend the life of the crane ensures our customers benefit from increased payload for years to come,” said Anderson.
The 6000 series crane was built to mount on a newly enhanced IMT Dominator I service truck. The new Dominator package comes with payload increasing options such as a compact work-bench bumper and a redesigned lightweight customizable bolt bin. It’s also available with the new CAS40PL air compressor whose aluminum canopy reduces its weight by more than 40% compared to the previous model.
IMT rolled out the new unit at the ConExpo trade show in Las Vegas, March 10-13. It is available for purchase now.
