IPAF Appoints New Rep for France

Laplume IPAF
Isabelle Laplume

October 23, 2007 • The International Powered Access Federation (IPAF) has appointed Isabelle Laplume as its new representative for France and French-speaking Switzerland, effective immediately. Based in Paris, Laplume takes over for Bernard Volut, who will hand over all duties at the end of the year. IPAF thanks Volut for his contribution in starting up IPAF's activities in France.

Laplume is a familiar face in the access industry, having been corporate communications manager of the Haulotte Group for the past nine years. With a degree in marketing and sales, she has extensive experience in organizing international exhibitions. One of her next major projects is to manage IPAF's presence at ConExpo 2008 in Las Vegas

“IPAF has invested a lot of time and effort in preparing the groundwork in France,” said Tim Whiteman, IPAF managing director. “This is the right moment to market the advantages of our specialist operator training program, which meets legal requirements and international standards. This program is open to suitably qualified rental companies and other institutions, and we are looking for partners to make it widely available in France.”

“I am very keen to take up new challenges with IPAF and to bring safety into the consciousness of the industry,” Laplume said. “November will see IPAF-France with a stand at Batimat • an important step to move us forward.”
