IronPlanet Auction Sales Increase 30 Percent in First Quarter

First-quarter auctions combined to sell more than 1,700 pieces of equipment, and IronPlanet averaged more than 6,700 viewers per auction and more than 41 bidders per item on www.ironplanet.com. Auction items also averaged bidders from more than 16 countries per auction in the first quarter. First-time buyers and sellers accounted for an average of more than 25 percent of auction participants.
In other news, IronPlanet has hired four new national accounts managers for the rental industry; finance and leasing industry; mine, quarry and aggregate equipment; and trucks.
Felix Rodriguez joins IronPlant as the national accounts manager for the rental industry. He has been in the industry for 18 years, including his most recent position at NationsRent as director of strategic sourcing and disposition for 264 locations.
John Gougeon has been named the national accounts manager for the finance and leasing industry. Gougeon has nearly 20 years in the commercial finance industry, holding positions with Heller Financial and GE Commercial Credit.
Larry Goff joins IronPlanet as the national account manager for mine, quarry, and aggregate equipment. Goff was formerly the owner and president of Goff Machinery Co. in
John Paschack joins IronPlant as the national accounts manager for trucks. He has more than 20 years experience in truck and automobile sales and operations.
