Kelley Equipment Co. Adds Terex AT Cranes to Fleet
October 27, 2015 - Kelley Equipment Company of Florida Inc. has added an eight-axle Terex AC 500-2 all terrain crane. The crane enables Kelley Equipment to handle a larger class of projects, which require lifting heavier loads at greater heights.
Established in 1984, Kelley Equipment has one of the largest crane rental fleets in the United States. The company works alongside many of the largest general contractors in the southeastern part of the country, helping to erect infrastructure in the power and industrial, engineering and construction, as well as travel and transportation markets.
The Terex AC 500-2 crane will beginning working right away, providing service on an industrial expansion project in Louisiana.
According to Russell Johnson, vice president and general manager, Kelley Equipment chose the Terex AC 500-2 crane because of the unit’s ease of operation and ability to reach exceptional heights and radii.
With a carrier length of 56 ft., the Terex AC 500-2 unit is one of the most compact eight-axle crane in its class. It has a working height of 478 ft. through the use of the unit’s luffing fly jib. “The Terex AC 500-2 has a proven design that is versatile enough to use across the many markets our organization services,” said Johnson. “We also know that Terex stands behind its equipment with a knowledgeable product support team.”
Kelley Equipment Co. also added a Terex Explorer 5800 all terrain crane to its fleet. “The Explorer 5800 is a great addition to our fleet because it has 229 ft of main boom and the fact that we can easily travel throughout the state with it,” said Johnson.
