Kevlar Brake Linings Offered by Tribco

October 20, 2006 • Tribco, Inc., Cleveland, Ohio, now offers a 100% Kevlar® fiber composite lining for brake pads and clutch plates for cranes, hoists, and other material-handling machines. Patented as Braketex® and Clutchtex®, the linings are non-abrasive and won't score or scratch rotators, drums, and flywheels.

 

According to Tribco, the Kevlar lining lasts three to five times longer than regular brake pads and clutch brakes, which decreases maintenance costs and reduces downtime. In addition to longer wear life and no mating surface damage, Tribco said its linings engage more smoothly and eliminate damaging dust created by most molded graphitic linings.
