September 8, 2026 - Kitchen's Crane & Equipment expanded its heavy lift and transport equipment fleet with acquisitions made during the second and third quarters of 2026.
The Richmond, Virginia-based company added a 2020 Scheuerle MPEK 170.8.2 SPMT PowerHoss self-propelled modular transporter, a 2024 Enerpac SL400 hydraulic gantry system with side shift, and a new Toyota FR25-35 forklift with fork and boom attachments.
The Scheuerle SPMT expands the company's capabilities for transporting oversized and heavy loads. The Enerpac hydraulic gantry system is intended for lifting and positioning applications involving transformer installation, industrial maintenance, infrastructure, and other heavy lift work.
Kitchen's Crane & Equipment said the equipment additions are intended to expand the equipment available for both rental and purchase.
"Investing in our fleet is an investment in our customers," said Eddy Kitchen, president of Kitchen's Crane & Equipment. "We're committed to offering equipment that delivers greater efficiency, reliability, and versatility as our customers take on increasingly complex projects."
The company said demand for specialized lifting and transport equipment continues to grow in infrastructure, power generation, data center, manufacturing, and industrial projects nationwide.
Kitchen's Crane & Equipment has supplied used cranes, SPMTs, hydraulic gantry systems, heavy haul trailers, strand jacks, and other specialized equipment for more than 19 years.
