Latest Vortex Simulator Platform Version Launched

June 9, 2015 - For crane and equipment design teams to simulate and visualize equipment operating in virtual test environments, Vortex by CM Labs supports hardware-in-the-loop testing and co-simulation with Matlab Simulink for virtual prototyping. Vortex 6.5 is the latest version of the platform.

 

 

Released in late spring, the new version is packed with enhancements and new features. Simulations are now easier to de-bug with the new Vortex Profiler. The component allows the user to ensure optimal frame-rate performance of simulations. New visuals and capabilities make user simulations even more life-like, including multiple lights and shadow-casting. And, new cable dynamics simulation capabilities for long cables with adaptive bending as well as easier cable definition using common engineering values.
