June 13, 2008 • Lewis Crane & Hoist, the mobile crane division of Lewis Equipment, Dallas, Texas, announces the opening of a new Las Vegas mobile crane branch. Darrell Shaw has been hired as the operations manager to oversee the new branch.
Lewis is expanding its services with the addition of a mobile and crawler division to complement the tower crane, construction elevators and rigging services currently provided in Las Vegas. Lewis will offer conventional and hydraulic trucks cranes, rough-terrain cranes and crawler cranes with lifting capacities between 40 to 300 tons. The expansion of the new mobile crane division will allow Lewis Equipment to offer the Las Vegas market a complete turnkey crane and lift services package.
Lewis Crane & Hoist will provide hourly and long-term crane services throughout Las Vegas and the state of Nevada. Additionally, the branch will be used to support the rigging services of the Lewis Equipment tower crane and construction elevator fleet. Lewis Equipment is currently providing the tower cranes and construction elevators on the City Center project. Other recent local projects in Lewis' portfolio include the Bellagio, Caesar's Palace, Wynn, and The Palms.
Lewis Equipment has been providing turnkey crane and lift services for more than 20 years and currently has branches in Texas, Florida, Nevada, Georgia, California, Washington and New Zealand.
