LGH Adds Material Basket, Rigging Rollers to Equipment Rental Fleet

September 21, 2015 - Lifting Gear Hire (LGH), Bridgeview, Ill., has added a material basket and severa rigging rollers to its rental catalog. The 4x4x2 Gated Material Basket has a removable drop gate, and a capacity of 3,000 lbs. The new rollers include beam clamp rigging and multi-rollers, as well as rack rollers.

 

LGH’s new material basket itself weighs about 1,000 lbs., while the drop gate weighs about 80 lbs. It is designed with fork pockets, lugs that are designed for ¾-in. shackles, and 6 ft. restraint chains with grab hooks. “Material baskets are essential to certain jobsites, so we wanted to add them to our catalog to create an even more well-rounded equipment rental fleet, said Tony Fiscelli, LGH president. 

 

The company has added several new rigging rollers to its rental fleet. Beam clamp rigging rollers are used mainly for the installation of pipe into racks at refineries and other industrial facilities. They are lightweight, and can be accept attached beam clamps for quick installations. Various roller head options are available so pipes can be easily and safely installed, according to LGH. Beam clamp multi-rollers are designed for a maximum load of 4000 lbs. and a pipe diameter range of 4-36 ins. They’re rated for only beam support with a centered base in which the base must be secured before in use. LGH rack rollers are beveled, and fasten to structural steel components on top of which pipe can be rolled for installation or maintenance. They have a 2000-lb. capacity and come in small (2- to 12-in.) and large (12- to 20-in.).

 

“These new rollers…[are]highly requested items and will add new depth to our very broad equipment rental fleet,” said Fiscelli.
